Internal Messages

PoiGpsClub has an internal messaging system which allows you to contact contributors working on same projects than you. This is to improve the collaboration between all contributors of projects.

There are different places from which you can send a message to another contributor. You need to click on the little envelope in front of the contributor username. You will not have access to email addresses nor real names of other contributors. Please also note that contributors can block you if you send them unwanted messages, Only administrator's messages cannot be blocked. Moreover, if you use this internal system to spam other contributors, you may be banned from the project and in worth case scenario, your account may be suspended.

Once you've clicked on the little envelope, you should see the message popup:

You can now just compose your message and click on the "Send" button.

Message Mailbox

additionally, a mailbox for your message is included in PoiGpsClub. 

  1. Please first click on your username.
  2. In the menu which shows up, click on "Messages".

PS: The number in brackets corresponds to the number of unread messages.

You should now see your mailbox:

  1. Messages received.
  2. Messages sent.
  3. Search bar (to search into messages).
  4. Delete message button. You need first to select messages you want to delete ticking their corresponding checkboxes.
  5. Messages titles. If you click of a title, you will be presented with the corresponding message.

    You can quote the message ticking the “Quote this message” checkbox (1) before pressing the “Reply” button (2).


    Then, you can write your message and click on the “Send” button.

  6. Message sender. If you click on a sender, you will be presented with the sender details.


    This gives you information regarding the sender. Please note that you can only see the username of the contributor. You don’t have access to his email address nor his real name. “Shared projects” are projects you have in common.

    From this window, you can send a new message to this contributor clicking on the “New message” button.
